After Repair Care
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your new paintwork and repairs, please follow these care guidelines:
Avoid washing your vehicle for the first 7 days after repair to allow the paint to fully cure.
Do not use automated or brush-style car washes for at least 30 days. Hand washing with a soft sponge or mitt and a pH-neutral car shampoo is recommended.
We recommend using a “car wash only” product, not a wash-and-wax.
Always dry the vehicle after washing using a clean, dry microfibre towel to prevent water spots from damaging the paint.
Damage caused by automated or abrasive car washes is not covered under warranty.
Do not wax or polish the vehicle within the first 90 days, as this can interfere with the curing process and may void warranty coverage.
The use of inferior or abrasive products, cleaning chemicals, or polishes that damage the finish will also void warranty coverage.
Remove bird droppings, sap, fuel, or other contaminants promptly, as these can permanently damage fresh paint.
Be mindful that stone chips, road debris, and environmental exposure (UV, salt, industrial fallout) are outside of warranty coverage.
For polishing or paint correction work:
We recommend 3M Perfect-It™ compounds and polishes (36064, 36102) for rotary machine use.
For dual-action polishers, Meguiar’s D300 (Correction Compound) and D301 (Finishing Wax) are suitable.
Any polishing should be carried out by a qualified professional.
Always consult Calibre Collision before taking your vehicle to a third party for paint correction or detailing, as improper methods may affect your warranty.
Regular cleaning and maintenance with approved products will help preserve the quality and finish of your repairs.
